RIDERS DREAM

This trip was thrilling and full of excitement and now you might be thinking why this is so thrilling. So, in order to know this read the blog and for more watch my youtube video from Chennai to kolli hills.
Kolli hill is known as “the mountain of death” because of its high end slope in every bend. One silly mistake and you will near to death. It is popularly known for its 70 hair pin bends.
PLACES TO VISIT
Agaya gangai waterfalls-
In order get down to the waterfall one have to walk down the steps around 1km. There are 1000 steps, which is quite long. Visit this fall in the month of October when there is reasonable level of water flow.
Masila falls-
This Masila falls is located about 5 mins of walk from the parking place. The best time to visit this fall is around the October month.
TEMPLES- Arpaleeshwar temple, Ettukai amman temple.
KOLLI HILLS BOAT HOUSE-
There is a small artificial lake that offers boating. Pedal boating is available for rent and it allows boating for 15 minutes. The colour of the water is slightly muddy.
VIEW POINT-
There are two view points one in selurnadu and another is at seekuparai. From the view point one can get the nice view of the city.
JOURNEY TO KOLLI HILLS
This trip was planned two days before the actual day of the journey. It was Monday around 4:30 a.m. in the morning, me along with my three friends started the journey from Chennai. We were excited for this journey and we were mainly excited for the 70 hair pin bends. In my previous blogs I have mentioned the about the hair pin bends of Javadhu hills and yellagiri but kolli hill is different from them.
After a non-stop riding around 7:00 a.m. in the morning we stopped for breakfast at vasantha bhavan which is in kurinchipadi and in the front there is a toll plaza, next to the vasantha bhavan there was the kfc restraunt. The breakfast was quite yummy, I order a meal box containing 5 items. After having breakfast we left from there and we were riding as usual and the weather was in a good mood which was good for us.
Our ride was going good until one tragedy happen with us which was unaccepted. After riding for around four hours we reached Namagiripettai and there my friend’s scotter i.e Yamaha Ray Z got punctured and the time was 11:00 a.m. . We were few kilometres away from this small town and it wasn’t possible to push the scooter to reach to this town. We were lucky enough that we manage to get one mini truck were the scooter was loaded and he was kind enough that he dropped the scooter till the repairing shop. The driver charged 200rs. I bought the tube at 200rs from MRF store and repairing cost around 60 rs from a local repairing shop. Carrying the scooter and repairing it consumed more time. Our ride was going smoothly as usual but this tragedy was unexpected and because of that our timing scheduled was shaken.
However, after repairing got over we continued our ride and the time was 12:30 p.m. and after riding for around 1 hour we reached the first bending point.
So, finally we came to the point and our main riding started and in each and every bend there is a pillar marking the number of bends. In every bend one have to be carefull as many vehicles are coming from front and back and the turns were really stiff and one mistake will be quite dangerous. It took around one hour for me to reach to the destination which is the 70 hair pin bend point.
On the top of the hill there is a small village and there were few resorts. So, if you are planning to go and stay there then you can. We were getting late and as we have to go back to Chennai so without doing further delay we returned back to Chennai.
We were really hungry when we were returning back and we only had breakfast in the morning and nothing else. So, on the way we stopped at the same place were we had our breakfast but this time we had dinner at Kfc. After half an hour we left from there and finally we reached home at 11:15 p.m.
That was my journey from Chennai to kolli hill with thrilling 70 hair pin bend. I hope I have explained well and it will be helpful for you.

JOURNEY TO JAVADHU HILLS || CHENNAI TO JAWADHU HILLS AND PUDUPALAYAM
One might not expect such a beautiful place nearby Chennai. But there exists a beautiful hill station called Javadhu hills. A perfect place for riders to go, as it has several hairpin bends approx.37 bends and scenic view.
“Riding becomes less tiring and easy when you enjoy the ride and the beauty of nature.”
ABOUT JAVADHU
It is about 280kms away from Chennai. The javadhu hills spreads across the parts of vellore and Tiruvannamalai district in the northern parts of the state of Tamil Nadu. There are two places that one must visit i.e. the Beemanmadavu waterfall and the Kavalur observatory. These two exotic spots attracts tourists.
You might have read my blog of Yelagiri where I have described about my journey to yelagiri. It was a paradise. But this is the next level of it. Javadhu is less crowded as few people knows about this place. While Yelagiri is a popular tourists spot, which is crowded all the year round. One of the disadvantage of Javadhu hills is that there is no hotel to stay. You can watch the videos in my YouTube channel, the link is given below.
JOURNEY TO JAVADHU
It was around 6 a.m. in the morning me along with three friends started the journey. We took the NH.45 road for javadhu hills. We were just riding continuously and after riding for around 6 hrs we reached to the base of the hills and the actual riding was suppose to start that is climbing the hill. Climbing to the hill wasn’t really difficult because there were few vehicles plying on the road.
On the entrance of the hill there is a checkpost, there sometimes checking is done but not always. Since it is a reserved forest and sandalwood is found, so for the illegal smuggling of sandalwood checking is done for four wheelers. Hardly checking is done for two-wheeler, for us the checking was not done.
So, we were enjoying the ride and the hills look yellowish and slightly brown because of leaves of the trees and the view was mesmerising, so clicked some pictures on the way. We reached the top of the hill after riding for around 2hrs.
And then we directly went on to visit the waterfall, but unfortunately there was no water as it was dry season. And from there we directly went to the kavalur observatory but the officials didn’t allow us to enter. One can only enter the observatory on saturday from 7-9 p.m. and when we enquired them about the hotels nearby to stay for a night, they said it’s few kilometers away from there around 30-40kms.
As we were hungry at the same time we had our lunch at one of the local restaurant. And started to go back to Chennai.

TIPS
1.Visit this place on Saturday if you want to visit the
observatory. Visiting time 7-9 p.m.
2. Visit the waterfall during rainy season.
3. Few government and private buses are available from time to time.

BEST ENGINE OIL FOR MOTORCYCLE/ BIKE INDIA
BEST ENGINE OIL FOR MOTORCYCLE/ BIKE
The motorcycle engine and engine oil can be explain with an example of human being. The function of a motorcycle engine is similar to human heart and the blood is similar to the engine oil.
Different motorcycle support different types of engine oil. For an example a human with blood group A needs the same blood group in the same way a particular motorcycle needs only a particular type engine oil.
In the market you will find many varities of engine oil, but you can choose the engine oil recommended for your motorcycle. If you don’t know which engine oil is good for your motorcycle then you can check your bike manual, they have mention the engine oil which is suitable for your motorcycle. But in case if you want better quality of engine oil then there are few rules that you have to consider.
*There are three basic types of engine oil-
Mineral
Semi-synthetic
Fully-synthetic
MINERAL OIL
Mineral oil is usually poured in the brand new bike because this oil is mostly coarse and less viscous oil then the other type oil. In the first bike servicing after riding around 1000kms this oil is removed from the bike.
SEMI-SYNTHETIC OIL
Semi-synthetic oil is a medium grade oil which is generally used after the initial run-in of the motorcycle. This oil has longer cooling properties which is the required.
FULLY-SYNTHETIC OIL
Fully-synthetic oil has the highest grade among the other types of oil. It is generally used for track bikes and for expensive bikes. This oil increases the bike performance and helps the motorcycle to run smoothly. This oil has more viscous and cooling properties. The oil is more expensive then the other types of engine oil.
After reading the above types of engine oil, you might have able to understand the neccesecity for the types of engine oil. With the types of engine oil, another concept is important that you should know i.e. the engine oil grade.
There are different grades of engine oil available in the market. When you can check out the engine oil in the market or online you will be able to see the grades written on it like 20W-50, 10W-30, 10W-40 and so on. So you have to choose the perfect engine oil grade and for that you have to understand the grading concept.
Though it is always better to use the engine oil recommended by the bike manufacturer. But, you can go for the better engine oil with the grade recommended for your bike.
‘W’ represent winter and the number represented before the W i.e. 10Wxx 0r 0Wxx indicates the lower temperatures which is suitable in cold areas. The lower temperature rating starts from 0Wxx which is suitable for very cold climatic conditions.
The number after the xxW30 or xxW50 indicates the hotter temperature which is suitable for hotter climatic condition. So depending on the climatic conditions you can choose the grade.
But it is also risky to pour the engine oil if you are not sure about the grades of the oil. Instead of looking for the best engine oil for motorcycle/bike before that know the concept or the requirements for the best engine oil which will help you to find by yourself the best engine oil for your bike.
The video for changing the engine oil in bike is available on our YouTube channel ALLOVERINDIA. So you can go and checkout the video on YouTube the link

MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE TIPS IN INDIA OR BAJAJ PULSAR RS200 MAINTENANCE TIPS
It is impossible to ride a motorcycle for lifetime without giving a proper service or care. But if it is maintained properly it can stay fit for long. There are few maintenance tips that one should follow to keep motorcycle under good condition.
1.KEEP THE MOTORCYCLE UNDER SHADE.
Keeping the motorcycle under sun for long time can cause lots of issues like fading of the bike colour, fuel evaporation, engine oil damage, damage to the plastic or rubber parts of the motorcycle and tyre damage.
Colour of the motorcycle becomes lighter if kept under the sun for long time. Heat especially effects the engine oil as it loses its viscosity and effects the smooth running of the engine.
2.TYRE PRESSURE
Tyre is the main the part that wear out easily. Try to maintain the required tyre pressure as recommended for the motorcycle. There is an average tyre pressure level that one should maintain. Check the air pressure every week. You can do the tyre pressure check up by your own by using this Digital tire pressure gauge that displays the tire pressure in digital display. It is really easy to use and you can carry out anywhere.
The buy link is given below you may checkout this product.
This product will be really helpful I have made a review video on this product and I am using this pressure gauge for a long time. You can watch the video by clicking the link.
3.BIKE SERVICING
*The first servicing of the motorcycle is done at 500-800km.
*The second servicing is done at 2,500-2,700km.
*The third servicing is done at 4,500-5,000km.
*The fourth servicing is done at 6,500-7,000km.
* The fifth servicing is done at 8,500-9,000km. And so on…..It is really important to do motorcycle servicing from time to time. It will prevent the motorcycle breakdown.
4.CHANGE ENGINE OIL
Engine is the main component of the motorcycle. So, the engine oil should be changed from time to time that will help the engine to run smoothly. After every 4,000km change the engine oil. There are so many varieties of engine oil in the market so choose the better quality.
5.ENGINE
Engine is the heart of the motorcycle. So, this must be maintained properly and it will help to boost up the speed. After every 1,500km clean out the carburetor float chamber and clean the spark plug regularly after every 750km for two-stroke motorcycle and every 1,500km for four-stroke motorcycle.
6.AIR FILTER
Keeping the engine supplied with pure air helps to run the motorcycle at it’s full potential. So, change the air filter from time to time as recommended for your motorcycle.
7. RIDING SPEED
Don’t accelerate high at low gear and maintain the riding speed. Riding at higher speed leads to more fuel consumption.
8.AVOID BAD ROADS
Riding on bad roads will increase the chances of breaking down the motorcycle tyre ring. So, try to avoid riding on bad roads.
9.CHANGE THE SPOCKETS
Change the spockets after riding around 20,000km as they wear-out after a limit. Depending on every motorcycle there is a kilometre limit after which one must change the spocket.
10.CHAIN
Always clean the chain every week and lubricate the chain with chain lube after riding for 500km.
It will prevent the chain from rust.
11.BIKE CLEANING
Clean the motorcycle surface to maintain the surface finish. Avoid cleaning the motorcycle with rough clothes. Use microfibre cloth to clean, It is available at cheap price.
